The mission of the Technological University of Panama is “to contribute to the development of the country through the transfer, at the highest level, of scientific and technological knowledge.”

VII International Engineering Science and Technology Conference (IESTEC 2019) contributes to this mission, having as its primary objective the promotion of science, research, technological development and innovation. This conference takes place in an international framework, with the collaboration of different institutions and private companies in Panama. The Conference attracts the participation of international speakers, who face, together with national scientists, the great challenges of Panama through Sciences, Research, Technological Development and Innovation.


The Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá is pleased to invite you to VII International Engineering Science and Technology Conference – IESTEC VII – 2019: “To complex problems, multidisciplinary solutions”.

This is one of the scientific / technological events of great relevance in the Central American region, will take place from October 9 to 11, 2019, in Panama City, Panama. It will feature international speakers,  sessions, exhibitions and technical tours.

Call for Poster

The papers presented as a poster in the IESTEC 2019, will be integrated into the Institutional Repository of open access digital documents of the Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá (Technological University of Panama). (, through the Poster’s Memory of the Conference. This will include the abstract of the work and the presented poster; in addition, an E-ISSN of the memory will be included.

The Repository will index this document in Google Scholar, BASE Platform of Bielefeld University Library, the Central American Repository and OpenAire.

Call for Forums

Call for Papers

The conference will take place in Panama on October 9-11, 2019. The goal is to establish an international forum for engineers and scientists to present their ideas and experiences in the fields of Agroindustry, Basic Sciences, Economy and Society, Engineering Education, Energy and Environment, Infrastructure, Logistics and Transportation, Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Robotic, Automation and Artificial Intelligence.

The official language of IESTEC are SPANISH, ENGLISH and PORTUGUESE. Papers must be submitted in PDF and should be no longer than 6 pages, following the IEEE Conference format.

Papers can be submitted using the OpenConf.

Accepted Technical papers will be submitted to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.


  1. All documents, regardless of the language of the content, must include the respective English translation of the Title, Summary and Keywords.
  2. To apply, the proponent must submit the final version of his article. Once accepted, the proponent will receive via email, the indications for the delivery of the final version of his article.
  3. Only the papers presented during the conference, will be submitted for publication.
  4. The submission of the final version of your article must be in compliance with the IEEE requirements in order to be published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, otherwise, will not be published.
