We take immense pleasure in inviting you to the 9
th International Engineering, Sciences and Technology
Conference (IESTEC 2024) that will take place in Panamá City (Panama) next October 23 – 25, 2024.
IESTEC is an international multidisciplinary conference that brings together hundreds of academics,
students, researchers, and professionals from many engineering and applied science fields. "Innovating
the present, transforming the future" is this edition´s motto.
We invite papers with original and unpublished contributions of practical and/or theoretical interest
addressing the following topics:
- Materials science and engineering
- Natural and exact sciences applied to engineering.
- Engineering and space sciences
- Biosciences, biotechnology, and biomedicine
- Agroindustry
- Environment, climate change and sustainability
- Infrastructure, construction, and buildings
- Energy production and management
- Renewable energy and energetic efficiency
- Intelligent systems, robotics, and automation
- Security and computer networks
- Artificial intelligence and data sciences
- Telecommunications engineering and computer sciences
- Engineering education
- Logistics and business sciences
- Humanities in science and technology
Submission Guidelines
PAPER
- Please ensure all articles are proofread and checked for accuracy prior to submission. Major changes cannot be made during the review process. If accepted, minor revisions may be made prior to final submission.
- Paper content must be original and relevant to one of the many conference topics.
- Papers must be unpublished and not submitted elsewhere.
- Papers must be in English or Spanish of up to 6 pages and must follow format according to the downloadable template https://congreso.utp.ac.pa/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/TEMPLATE_Paper.docx
- Papers submitted in Spanish should include the Title, Abstract, and Keywords in English.
- Authors are required to ensure accuracy of quotations, citations, diagrams, maps, and tables.
- Figures and tables need to be placed where they will appear in the text and must be clear and easy to view (high definition).
- Papers must be submitted in WORD format without the authors' information, through the platform https://esimposio.com/iestec2024/registro.php?id=11
- Papers will be evaluated by a Technical Committee; their revision will be its exclusive responsibility and its decisions will be non-appealable.
- Accepted and presented papers will be part of the IESTEC 2024 Proceedings submitted to IEEE Xplore®.
The acceptance decisions will consider paper relevance, technical content and scientific rigor, novelty, manuscript quality, and presentation, writing and clarity of the manuscript.
Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore Digital Library according to conference #62784, 2024 9th International Engineering, Sciences and Technology Conference (IESTEC), subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements.
POSTER
Submission Guidelines
- For posters, authors must submit an abstract 500 words length.
- Abstracts must be in English or Spanish and must follow format according to the downloadable template https://congreso.utp.ac.pa/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/TEMPLATE_Poster-Abstract.docx

Accepted Posters
- For the poster to appear in the Program and the Congress Minutes, it is necessary that one of the authors has registered for the congress and presents the poster in-person.
- Posters must be unpublished and not submitted elsewhere.
- Poster content must be original and relevant to one of the many conference topics.
- Authors are required to ensure accuracy of quotations, citations, diagrams, maps, and tables.
- Figures and tables need to be clear and easy to view (high definition).
- Posters must be in English or Spanish in conference poster format: material can be paper, or vinyl and the size is A0 vertical (84.1 cm x 118.9cm / 33.1 in x 46.81 in)
